President Kagame today received the Rotary International President, Ravi Ravindran who is in the country to meet with senior leaders of local Rotary clubs and also visit the organisation’s projects in Rwanda. His presence in Rwanda coincides with the fourth Rotary Medial Mission which will be carried out at the Kanombe Military Hospital, for Orthopedic and Plastic Surgeries.

After meeting with President Kagame, the President Rotary International said that he was impressed with what he saw in Rwanda, especially the people and the leadership.

 

“I have never been to a country like Rwanda wherever I have gone in my visits to Africa. The people and the Government are so keen on building their country and competent people are placed in different leadership positions to ensure rapid growth and transformation. It is impressive and we would like to make our contribution in the best way we can.”

Rotary Club volunteer specialists in plastic and orthopedic surgery are in the country to offer free treatment to hundreds of patients suffering from physical deformations resulting from accidents, birth defects and the Genocide against the Tutsi.
