Kigali, 4 April 2018

President Kagame today received credentials of newly appointed United States Ambassador, Peter Hendrick Vrooman, at a credentials ceremony held at Urugwiro Village. Vrooman succeeds Erica J. Barks-Ruggles, who served since December 2014.

President Kagame also received outgoing Tanzanian High Commissioner, Ali Idi Siwa who called to bid farewell as his tour of duty comes to an end.

Ambassador Vrooman most recently served as the Chargé d’Affaires and Deputy Chief of Mission of the U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
