President Kagame today received the Carnegie Mellon University President, Subra Suresh who is in the country to assess the progress of the university’s Africa branch based in Rwanda.

Speaking to press after meeting President Kagame, the Carnegie Mellon President said he was impressed by the way the university was expanding and benefiting Rwanda and continent as anticipated.

 

“In my meeting with the President we discussed the progress of Carnegie Mellon University, its progress and future. We are all impressed by the progress and the outcome of as we celebrate the graduation of the third group of the university’s students. The new partnership with MasterCard Foundation is expected to elevate the university to a higher level, in terms of expansion and quality of research.”

The Minister of Education, Papias Musafiri said the Carnegie Mellon university has continued to grow and expand, bringing in more students from different African countries.
