Kigali, 18 November 2016

President Kagame has today received a delegation of Young Presidents’ Organisation (YPO) who have been in the country since November 12. The delegation is made up of 17 members from UAE, Australia, Israel, Scotland, Honk Kong, USA and Rwanda. YPO is the largest global network of business leaders with more than 24,000 members in more than 130 countries.

The head of delegation, Yariv Cohen said the frequent visits to Rwanda by the YPO have enabled the organisation to make an impact in the different sectors of the Rwandan economy.

“The YPO is a community of young successful business people and they asked the President to be one of them. They have had discussions with the President on a wide range of issues particularly concerning investment in Rwanda and to give an impact report on projects where YPO is involved.”

The CEO of RDB, Francis Gatare said:

“This is the 8th time that members of this organisation are coming here to look at investment opportunities and currently there is strong YPO presence in the Rwandan economy as part of YPO community involvement.”

President Kagame has received YPO delegations to Urugwiro Village several times before and has participated to different events organised by YPO abroad. The organization also awarded President Kagame with the Global Leadership Award in March 2003.
