President Kagame today at Parliament officiated at the swearing-in of newly appointed leaders who included Ministers and Provincial Governors.

Those who took oath of office today included Esperance Nyirasafari, as new Minister of Gender and Family Promotion, Vincent Munyeshyaka, Minister of State in charge of Socio-Economic Development in the Ministry of Local Government, Isaac Munyakazi, Minister of State in Charge of Primary and Secondary Education in the Ministry of Education. Others were Evode Uwizeyimana, Minister of State in charge of Constitutional and Legal Affairs in the Ministry of Justice and Fulgence Nsengiyumva, Minister of State in Charge of Agriculture in the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources.

 

“I congratulate the new leaders and ask them to take the oath and appointment with the weight they deserve.”

President Kagame also paid tribute to the Late Senator Mucyo jean De Dieu who passed away on October 3 and condoled with his family:

“Senator Mucyo was a modest and hardworking leader who would not sway under the weight of responsibilities.”

President Kagame urged leaders to execute their responsibilities with diligence and a sense of urgency.

“We are making progress but we should always think of how to do more, and make it a culture to not be satisfied with what we have achieved. Everyone complains about bureaucracy but you each play a role in sustaining it. We have to keep working to do better and faster

President Kagame asked new leaders to aim higher and those who have been replaced to continue making contribution in their next appointments as well as their communities.
