• Banyarwanda, Friends of Rwanda

Good evening, and Happy New Year.

The past year, like the one before, has been marked by uncertainty and adversity.

Even now, the new Covid variant prevents us from celebrating the holidays as we would like, carefree in the company of family and friends.

Unfortunately, we still have to be vigilant.

At the same time, our country has continued to come together, and that is why we have avoided the worst.

The gains we have made this year must be sustained, and we must build on them to keep our country moving forward in the coming years.

I take this opportunity to recognize and thank our health workers, youth volunteers, security institutions, public servants, the private sector, our partners, and all Rwandans, for playing their part in Rwanda’s journey.

My family and I wish you and your loved ones, a blessed and prosperous New Year.

Good night, and God bless Rwanda.
