Kamonyi, 16 July 2017
Today, RPF Chairman and party flagbearer in the upcoming presidential elections Paul Kagame continued his campaign trail in Nyamagabe, Huye and Kamonyi districts of the Southern Province.
In rallies that attracted hundreds of thousands of residents, the Chairman reiterated his commitment to move Rwanda a step further in the next seven years.
On his first stop of the day in Nyamagabe District, Chairman Kagame told residents that his campaign is about Rwandans’ journey to define Rwanda’s future.
“This campaign is about our dignity and our journey to defining the future we want and deserve. Voting RPF means choosing transformation, security, economic growth, education and access to quality health service for all,” Chairman Kagame said.
Midday, the Chairman continued his campaign rally in Huye where he was welcomed by over 100,000 supporters.
In his address to Huye residents, Chairman Kagame called on the youth in the area and across Rwanda to not let any opportunity go to waste because “it is by building on the ones available now that you will be able to achieve success.”
On the last stop of the day, the Chairman met and interacted with cheering throngs of hundreds of thousands of Kamonyi District residents.
“We are together in this journey. You have me, I have you and together nothing can stand in our way,” Chairman Kagame told supporters amid jubilation.
The RPF Flagbearer stressed that even the fiercest critic would never break the Rwandan spirit; “They dug a hole for us, they buried us in it. They didn’t know we were seeds. We have proven to those who left us for dead that we were seeds that can only grow stronger and build a better life.”
Chairman Kagame reminded Kamonyi residents to turn up in big number come 4th August when Rwandans will cast their votes.
The Chairman will resume his campaign rally on Tuesday.
