President Kagame is on a two days visit to Israel during which he held bilateral talks with President Rivlin as well as with Prime Minister Netanyahu. Commenting on the bi- lateral relations between Rwanda and Israel during his meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu, President Kagame said that :” Co-operation between our countries has blossomed, in many areas among them technology, in agriculture and energy as well as security. We appreciate what Israel has to offer in these and other fields, and we are very happy to be working with you. Trade and investment links have also multiplied. Rwanda is open for business, and we look forward to welcoming private sector delegations from Israel even more frequently, in the future.”

The visit serves to strengthen bilateral ties between the two nations and follows Prime Minister Netanyahu’s visit to Rwanda and East Africa in July 2016. President Kagame was last in Israel in 2013.
