President Kagame today received the US Secretary of State, John Kerry who is in the country to attend the 28th Meeting of the Parties to the Montréal Protocol, which has been taking place in Kigali since October 8.
President Kagame and Secretary Kerry discussed issues related to bilateral relations between the United States and Rwanda as well as regional affairs.
The US Secretary of State also visited the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center where he paid respects to the victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi by laying a wreath at the Tomb of more than 250,000 victims.
