The outgoing Dutch Ambassador to Rwanda, Leoni Cuelenaere today called on President Kagame to bid him farewell as her tour of duty comes to an end.
Speaking to the press after the meeting, Amb. Leoni Cuelenaere said:
“As I leave this beautiful country, I am happy that the relationship between Rwanda and my country continues to improve. Our areas of cooperation are mostly in the Justice Sector, Education and Agriculture, among others. My discussions with the President mainly dwelt on bilateral cooperation, security in the region, the state of affairs in Europe and other issues relevant to our cooperation.”
Ambassador Leoni Cuelenaere has been representing her country in Rwanda since 2012, where she was posted after serving as the Dutch Ambassador to Yemen. She also previously served in Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe and in several high profile positions in the Netherlands.
