President Kagame today received Hans Holger Albrecht, President and CEO of Millicom, the company that owns Tigo Telecommunications Company.
After the meeting, the Millicom President said he was happy with the business environment and that his company was planning to invest 80 million USD into Tigo in the next 5 years:
“We are happy doing business in Rwanda and we would like to make more investments and take advantage of the favorable investment environment. Our clients are demanding and we want to position ourselves to be able to serve them even better.”
The Minister of Youth and ICT, Jean Philbert Nsengimana said the announcement by Millicom to invest more money into Tigo is testimony that investors are increasingly having confidence in Rwanda as a good investment destination.
