Dubai, 1 November 2017

Today President Kagame took part in a Head of State dialogue on Accelerating African Integration – Speaking One Voice at the two day Africa Global Business Forum in Dubai.

“Africa’s history prevented the continent from being as prosperous as it was capable of being. Looked at this way we want to see cooperation across the continent, countries working together, people coming together to trade, invest and do business. We are beginning to see progress. The more we speak with one voice as a continent, and face the world as one market, the faster we will attain the level of wealth our citizens aspire to. Integration is realistic and vital to our future.” The President said.

Moderated by John Defterios, the one-on-one session attracted over 1,000 participants including Heads of State as well as business and public executives with an aim to explore sustainable solutions, financing opportunities as well as growth prospects and challenges and  encourage investment partnerships with a focus on Africa, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Latin America.

The 4th African Global Business forum is held by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

On the sidelines of the meeting, President Kagame also met with His Royal Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Dalmook Juma Al Maktoum as well as Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
